What is Gugguu?
Gugguu is a Finnish children's clothing brand. We produce and sell high-quality, ecological, and EU-made, ethical clothes for children aged 0-12 years. Gugguu was founded in 2012 and our online store opened in May 2013.
Gugguu's founder Miia Riekki and Anne Valli, who joined a few months after the founding, are the main owners of Gugguu. Gugguu was born in their hands, and in 2018 a Finnish investment company and Minttu Räikkönen, who acts as a minority owner and one of the designers, also became owners. Gugguu has offices in Oulu and Pirkkala. There are about 20 employees. Gugguu employs staff from design to material procurement, warehousing, and both brick-and-mortar and online stores.
Where can I buy Gugguu products?
In addition to our online store, you can purchase our products at our Outlet store located in Helsinki Outlet Village. We also occasionally organize shopping events at the Pirkkala Showroom.

Responsibility
How are sustainable development and ethics taken into account in Gugguu's operations?
Sustainable development, ecology, and ethics have been an important part of Gugguu from the beginning. We manufacture products that last from child to child, ensuring a long lifespan for the product. Our products take into account the child's growth - sleeves and legs are slightly longer than usual in size, and all our bottoms have either an adjustable waistband or tie strings.
We carefully select our materials and constantly look for new, ecological materials that meet our strict quality requirements. One example of this is mesh fabric, which was introduced to our collection in 2019. The printed wrap dresses and skirts for women and children's wrap skirts released in the Fall 2020 Mini Me collection are made of 100% recycled polyester, which is made from plastic bottles. We have also increased the use of organic cotton in our products - now all our patterned jersey and sweatshirt products are made of organic cotton. All our fabrics have Oeko-tex 100 standard and the 100% organic cotton we use also has GOTS - standard.
Our products are manufactured in carefully selected factories in the EU. We maintain active communication with our factories.
Recycling of products
It is important to us that the quality of our products is high so that the garment has as many users as possible before its lifecycle ends. We encourage our customers to recycle clothes, for example, from one sibling to another. We collaborate with second hand online store Emmy where you can sell Gugguu's products. If you choose a gift card to Gugguu's online store as the payment method, you will receive a 10% bonus from your sales. Our community is also very active on Facebook, where you can find flea market groups offering Gugguu's products.

Products
What size should I choose?
Gugguu's clothes are sized to fit and so that the legs and sleeves are long enough to be turned up to extend their lifespan. In addition, many leggings and other bottoms have a drawstring to tighten a waist that is too big.
Usually, the size should be chosen according to the child's height. If the child is between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
Every year we make a size chart for headwear by fitting hats on children of different ages - you can see the size chart on the product page.
What kind of warranty do the products have?
Our products have a two-year warranty that covers defective products. We strive to repair defective products so that the product can be reused, but if the product is not repairable, our customer service will assist you with the complaint.
Online store
Is there a reserving shopping cart in the online store?
Our online store does not have a reserving shopping cart. Products are therefore reserved for the buyer only at the stage when payment has been made. We have tested reserving shopping carts, but based on customer feedback and general usability, we have ended up with this.
The product is sold out - will there be more?
We always inform about larger restocks on our Facebook page and Instagram. We recommend enabling size alerts if you are looking for a specific size of a certain product - this way you will receive a notification to your email if, for example, a return is made and the product becomes available for purchase.
How do I use a discount code or gift card?
Discount codes and gift cards are a combination of letters and numbers. Please be especially careful when typing the code - remember to distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters! In this video, you will see how to use a gift card or discount code in a computer browser.
Why isn't my discount code or gift card working?
First, check the spelling of the code. We recommend copying and pasting the code to ensure it is correct. Also, make sure there are no extra punctuation marks before or after the code.
Remember to use your code or gift card in time. Most discount codes expire within a few weeks, and the gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
If you don't know whether the code is still valid, you can contact our customer service and we will check it for you!
Most discount codes are only valid for full-priced products. The gift card can be used for both full-priced and discounted products.
If the code is spelled correctly, is still valid, and you know the code applies to the products you have chosen, please contact our customer service.
Order for another recipient
If you want the product to go directly to the gift recipient, you can enter the recipient's address as the delivery address. Please note that the package pickup notification will be sent to the phone number provided at the time of order.
Where are the products shipped from?
All orders made from Gugguu's online store are shipped from our warehouse in Pirkkala.
Orders
Did my order go through?
Did you receive an order confirmation in your email? If you did, your order went through successfully!
If you did not receive an order confirmation, we recommend checking your spam folder. If you still cannot find the order confirmation, please contact our customer service - in some cases, the email does not get through or, for example, there is a delay on the payment service provider's side.
Our customer service can check the situation and resend the order confirmation to you.
I have not received an order confirmation. What should I do?
If you received a payment confirmation but not an order confirmation, there may have been a technical error with the order or a delay in processing the order. If you have not received either, the email address you provided may be incorrect. Please also check your spam folder. If you placed the order while logged in, you can check your customer account to see if your order has been received. You can also contact our customer service to check the status of your order.
When will my order be shipped?
Usually orders are dispatched by the shipping company within 1-3 business days, but during new launches and campaigns this can take up to 10 business days.
Where is my package?
Once your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation of the shipment in your email. This message also includes the tracking code. By clicking the shipment code, you can follow the package's journey to you.
Remember that the tracking code usually takes about 4-16 hours to activate. So don't be surprised if the code does not show the package movements immediately after you receive the message.
I made a typo in my order/I want to change the delivery address - what should I do?
Contact us as soon as possible - we recommend calling our customer service at +358444101736.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your order by contacting our customer service. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible so that the package does not unnecessarily get shipped before the cancellation is made.

Can I modify my order?
If you have not received confirmation of delivery, it is probably possible to modify the order by removing or adding products. Contact us by phone at +358444101736.
Can I combine multiple orders into one delivery?
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to combine orders.
Can I place an order by phone or email?
Of course! You can notify us of the products you want by email, and our customer service will place the order for you and send a payment link to your email. Remember that the products will be reserved for you only after you have made the payment.
I have not received a notification of the arrived order
Smartpost shipments will receive a pickup notification via text message, so the phone number must be completely correct in the order. The delivery confirmation includes a Posti tracking code, which you can use to check the progress of your order. In case of any problems, you can contact our customer service at customer@gugguu.com.
Can gift wrapping be selected for the order?
Yes, you can! You can find gift wrapping most easily by typing 'lahjapaktointi' in the search field.
I received the wrong product. What should I do?
We apologize for the situation. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible at customer@gugguu.com or 044-4101736 to resolve the issue.
Deliveries
How much does the delivery cost?
Shipping costs to Finland and EU internal countries are 4.9€ and for orders over 120€ delivery is free.
Shipping to the rest of the world starts at 15€.
At checkout, you will also find other delivery options, such as express delivery and pickup from the Pirkkala warehouse. Pickup is free and express delivery has an additional charge of 7€.
How long does delivery take?
We usually process orders within a maximum of three business days, but during campaign periods and new launches, processing may take a little longer. After this, the shipping company receives the package for delivery. In Finland, packages typically arrive the day after the order.
Do you deliver worldwide?
Yes! Our online store ships internationally worldwide and you can also check if one of our retailers is located near you. You can see a list of retailers here.
Can I leave the package uncollected if I don't want to receive it?
To speed up the processing of returns and refunds, we want you to receive the delivery and notify the cancellation using the return form. For shipments not picked up and returned to us, we charge the customer 12€.
I have not received a pickup notification even though the package has arrived.
Please check your contact information to ensure it is correct in the order. Contact our customer service, and we will correct your contact details for the shipping company or ask them to resend the pickup notification. Please note that the pickup notification may not arrive at the same time as the package is available for pickup.
Is there a pickup option at Gugguu?
Yes, you can. You can place an order and choose pickup as the delivery method at checkout. Our warehouse is located in Pirkkala, the address is Muuraintie 5 A 1, 33920 Pirkkala.
The post has only received advance notice of an upcoming shipment. What does this mean?
This means that the order has been processed and shipped on our end, but the shipping company has not yet picked up the shipment from us or registered it in sorting. If the shipment has not been registered within 3 business days, you can contact our customer service.
Returns
How do I make a return?
The return period is 14 days from receiving the package.
Returns in Finland: Fill out the return form included in your package. Pack the items to be returned carefully and write the return address details from the return form on the package. Take the package to the service point according to the original delivery method - either Matkahuolto or Posti service point.
Returns outside Finland: Contact our customer service at customer@gugguu.com to arrange the return.
Is the return free?
We charge a €3.5 return fee for returns.
When will I receive the refund?
Return processing takes a maximum of 14 business days from the day the return package arrives at our warehouse. You will receive an email notification when the refund has been made. The refund will be made to the original payment method you used and it may take a few days before the money appears on your payment method.
Do returns have to be sent in the original packaging?
No need! It is enough that the products are well protected - you can pack the product however you want.
Can I return a pre-order?
Pre-order products have a normal 14-day return policy.
Do discounted products have a return policy?
The same exchange and return rights apply to both discounted and regular priced products. Discounted products therefore have a 14-day return right in their original sale condition.
I received the wrong product in my package
We apologize for our mistake! Contact us by email at customer@gugguu.com or by phone at +358444101736. We will arrange a return for the product and ensure that you receive the correct product soon.
The product I received is damaged
We are sorry! Please contact our customer service, and we will arrange a replacement with a new, undamaged product or if the product is sold out, we will issue you a refund. Contact us at customer@gugguu.com or +358444101736.
I placed an order worth over €120 and returned the product(s) from the order. Why was I charged €8.4 for postage and return fees?
You have not been charged delivery fees for the order because the value of your order has been over 120 €. If after the return the value of your order is below 120 €, we will deduct delivery fees of 4.9€ from the refundable amount. Additionally, we always deduct handling/return fees of 3.5€ from the refundable amount. So a total of 8.4€.
Substitutions
Can I exchange the product for another?
Unfortunately, we do not do exchanges. If you want to exchange the product you ordered for another product, you can return the originally ordered product and place a new order for the product you want.
Do discounted products have the right of exchange?
The same exchange and return rights apply to both discounted and regular priced products. Discounted products therefore have a 14-day return right in their original sale condition.
Complaints
How do I make a complaint?
First of all: we are sorry if our product has not met expectations. Our customer service will assist you with the complaint. To start the process, take the clearest and most detailed photos possible of the product and the problem occurring in the product and send the photos along with the most detailed description of the problem to us by email at customer@gugguu.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible by email or call you if we need more information. When the product is sent back to us, please send it washed if the product has been used.
Gugguu's complaint period is 2 years from the date of purchase. Complaints are primarily resolved through repair sewing or other similar measures. If the reason for the complaint does not allow repair sewing, a refund will be agreed upon separately with the customer.
Payment
Is payment secure?
Payment in Gugguu's online store is secure. Our payments are processed through well-known third-party payment services: PayPal, Paytail, and Klarna.
What payment methods are available in the online store?
You can pay in Guggu's online store with online banking, payment cards, PayPal, MobilePay, bank transfer, as well as Klarna invoice and installment payment.
Where is my invoice?
Billing companies usually mail invoices about a month after the order. The invoice does not come with the order. At Gugguu, we do not see information about the status of the invoice or its due date. It is therefore advisable to contact the billing company you selected in the order directly.
