We are looking for an experienced and fully responsible textile and product development professional for a freelancer role at Gugguu's, who will be responsible for pattern drafting, structural development, and ensuring fit of children's clothing all the way to production-ready samples.

The work is carried out on a freelance basis, and working hours will be agreed upon separately at the start of the collaboration.
Gugguu's premises are located in Pirkkala.

In this role, you will be in a key position at the interface of design and production, turning ideas into technically functional, high-quality, and reproducible wholes.

Role and responsibilities

You are responsible for the technical implementation and structural quality of children's clothing collections. The role is fully responsible and requires independent decision-making, strong technical expertise, and the ability to solve fit, structure, and production-related challenges in cooperation with production factories.

Key tasks
• pattern drafting and professional use of pattern software
• grading to different sizes and managing proportions
• technical development of models and ensuring fit
• sewing prototypes and conducting and leading fittings
• preparing technical instructions, measurement tables, and production documentation
• defining construction drawings and technical details
• developing models in cooperation with production factories
• identifying and solving structural and technical problems
• smooth command of clothing industry terminology and production processes

Required skills and experience
• strong experience in pattern drafting, structures, and fit of children's clothing
• comprehensive understanding of the product development process from idea to production
• ability to make independent technical decisions and justify them from a production perspective
• experience in production collaboration and technical communication
• precise and systematic working approach
• fluent written and spoken communication (Finnish and English)
