Gugguun Candy World loyalty program terms and conditions

These terms apply to the contractual relationship concerning loyalty membership between consumer customers and Gugguu Oy.

By joining Gugguu Candy World loyalty program, you accept these terms.

1. Joining and customer information

The Gugguu Candy World loyalty program is free and valid indefinitely. 

Anyone aged 18 or older can join as a loyalty customer on our website.

The information requested on the registration form must be filled in correctly. 

As a loyalty customer, you have an account at Gugguu where you can see your purchases and edit your contact information. You also have a personal loyalty customer page where you can see the Marshmallows you have earned points = Marshmallows, your Marshmallow history, and your Candy World level.

Please remember to update your contact information if it changes.
You can update your customer information in the online store by logging into your customer account.
Since all our communication is digital, you must provide an email address when joining the Gugguu Candy World loyalty program. You are responsible for keeping your email address and contact information up to date. 

2. Identification as a loyalty customer

In the online store, you identify yourself as a loyalty customer by logging into your customer account. Please always log in when making purchases in our online store to earn Marshmallows from your purchases. Gugguu Candy World loyalty membership is personal and cannot be transferred to another person. One person can have only one loyalty membership and registered email address. You are also responsible for the activities on your loyalty account and for keeping your login information confidential.

3. Benefits and offers 

As a member of the Gugguu Candy World loyalty program, you receive personalized communication including both personal and general benefits and loyalty offers. You also get product recommendations, news, and inspiration about our products. 

4. Loyalty points = Marshmallows

You earn Marshmallows, among other things, by performing any of the following actions:

  • By creating an account in Gugguu Candy World loyalty program
  • By shopping at Gugguu (you earn 1 Marshmallow for every 1€ you spend)
  • By following us on Instagram and liking us on Facebook
  • By registering as a Whatsapp message subscriber
  • By subscribing to the newsletter

You earn Marshmallows to your account immediately when your order has been delivered to you.

To earn Marshmallows from orders, you must log in with your email address and password. You can decide when and how you want to use the discount coupons obtained from Marshmallows. Marshmallows are valid for 12 months from the date they are granted. You use Marshmallows at checkout when placing orders from Gugguu. When you are logged into your customer account, you will see the number of Marshmallows at checkout and can choose how many Marshmallows you want to use as a discount on your order. 

You cannot use Marshmallows at the same time as another coupon or discount code.Marshmallows cannot be redeemed for cash. The Marshmallows you earn are personal and cannot be transferred to another person or member. 

If you return a product, the Marshmallows you earned at the time of purchase will be automatically deducted from your loyalty customer account. Marshmallows can only be redeemed once and cannot be redeemed for cash or gift cards. Product returns follow Gugguu's return policy. In the case of a product return, only the amount paid for the product is refunded, not the amount including the discount received. 

The discount coupon redeemed with Marshmallows is distributed proportionally to each product in your order based on their price, not the total amount. If you make a partial return of the products in the order, you will receive a refund for each individual product based on the amount you paid, taking into account the discount received with the coupon. In the case of a product return, only the amount paid for the product is refunded, not the amount including the discount received.

Loyalty points (Marshmallows) expire 12 months after the points are earned.

 

5. Gugguu's Candy World loyalty customer level

Your loyalty membership starts from the day you join as a loyalty customer. When you join as a loyalty customer, you can immediately start collecting Marshmallows. You can advance to the next Candy World level as soon as you reach the threshold. The level is reviewed annually and your level is determined based on the thresholds. You remain at the new Candy World level for 12 months from the day you reached the level. 

After this:

  • You remain at the level if your purchase amount in the previous 12 months still exceeds the threshold.
  • You will drop to a lower level if your purchase amount in the previous 12 months does not exceed the threshold. However, you can always move back up to a higher level once the annual purchase limit is met again.

The annual purchase limits for Gugguu Candy World levels are as follows:

  • Candy 0€–250€ / year
  • Candy Bar 250€-600€ / year
  • Candy Bag 600€-1200€ / year
  • Candy Box over 1200€ / year


Loyal customer levels you can receive various benefits:

  • Free shipping with 100 Vaahtokarkit, applies to 4.90€ shipping fees within Finland. (Candy Bar and Candy Bag levels.)
  • Changing campaign and surprise benefits (All levels.)
  • VIP Online Meet events, for example before collection launches. The design and marketing team presents products separately and talks about the collections. VIP Online Meet events may include exclusive offers. (Candy Bag and Candy Box levels.)

6. Loyalty customer discount coupon and terms of useThe following discount coupons can be redeemed with Vaahtokarkit:

  • 200 Vaahtokarkit entitle you to a 10€ discount code, minimum purchase amount 85€
  • 400 Vaahtokarkit entitle you to a 20€ discount code, minimum purchase amount 95€
  • 600 Vaahtokarkit entitle you to a 30€ discount code, minimum purchase amount 105€
  • 800 Vaahtokarkit entitle you to a 40€ discount code, minimum purchase amount 115€

Redeeming Vaahtokarkit for discount coupons takes place in our online store on your own customer account or at our Pop Up events. Redeemed discount coupons cannot be converted back into Vaahtokarkit. Vaahtokarkit are earned when purchasing a gift card. When paying with a gift card, no additional Vaahtokarkit are earned for the loyal customer.

As a loyal customer, you receive changing benefits intended for loyal customers, such as early information about our new products and campaigns. Some loyalty benefits are based on whether you are at the Candy, Candy Bar, Candy Bag, or Candy Box level. We continuously develop the Gugguu Candy World loyalty program.

By using the discount coupon, you accept its terms of use.
The following minimum purchase amounts apply to the use of discount coupons depending on the coupon value.

The discount coupon can be used on discounted products, but it cannot be combined with other discount or promotional codes in online store purchases. You can only use one discount coupon at a time. The discount coupon can only be used once. Received discount coupons are valid for 6 months from the date they were earned.


7. Customer communication and personal data processing

Generally, we contact you via email, but also through WhatsApp messages if you accept SMS marketing. By accepting these terms, you agree to receive promotional and customer communications. You can always unsubscribe from the communication channel through the messages we send. 

Gugguu processes the loyalty customer's personal data in a manner permitted and required by applicable data protection legislation. Information about the processing of personal data and the loyalty customer's rights is available in the privacy policy on the website.

Gugguu processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data protection officer is Gugguu Oy (business ID 2508855-5). When you register as a loyalty customer and make purchases, information about your purchases and how you otherwise use our services is stored. Gugguu Oy processes personal data about you as a loyalty customer, among other things, to provide offers, loyalty benefits, and the best possible service. 

You are responsible for all activity that occurs on your loyalty account. The loyalty customer is responsible for the security and safekeeping of their login credentials. We recommend using a secure password and changing it when necessary.

Gugguu may make updates/changes to thresholds/loyalty terms. Updated terms will be published on the website when loyalty terms are changed gugguu.com. The terms in force at any given time are available on the website gugguu.com. If you do not accept the terms, you always have the right to terminate your loyalty membership. If we have reasonable suspicion of unauthorized use or abuse of our services, violation of our loyalty terms, fraud, or other similar events or behavior, Gugguu has the right to terminate your loyalty membership.

8. Termination of loyalty membership

A loyalty customer may terminate their loyalty membership immediately at any time by notifying Gugguu's customer service by email at customer@gugguu.com. 

Gugguu Oy is not responsible for any system errors or malfunctions of the loyalty program or losses caused by changes to the loyalty program.

Gugguu is not responsible for failure to comply with obligations under the loyalty terms or damages resulting from circumstances beyond Gugguu's control, such as laws, official actions, war, strike, blockade, lockout, or other similar conditions (so-called force majeure).
