"Without my children and motherhood, Gugguu would not have been born" Thoughts of Gugguu's founder on Mother's Day
"My children have always been my source of inspiration. I feel privileged because I have been able to work close to my children's everyday lives."

Gugguu has given us countless shared moments, in which my children have also been involved and have influenced, among other things, the small details of our products. The big pockets were inspired by my son's way of filling his pockets with treasures. The ballerina-style shirts came from my daughter's ballet hobby. The frill dresses from the dream of a little girl who loves frills. Many of these still live on in our collections.
My children have worked for several years as fitting models for our new products. New product models and fabrics have been tested to the point of exhaustion at times. At first, our children traveled to photo shoots, and those shared moments still live on screens. I often look back on these moments with nostalgia, which are now over ten years ago.
My children have already grown into their teenage years. My eldest daughter, who is already an adult, has become a creative marketing professional whose thoughts and ideas make me burst with pride.

I hope to be a role model for my children, showing that it is possible to combine motherhood and a career. I also want to set an example – to encourage and inspire them to pursue their own dreams, whatever they may be. The most important thing is that whatever you do, you do it with a big heart. Sometimes it requires hard work and sacrifices, but it is worth it all."
- Miia Riekki, founder of Gugguu
