Gugguu's Responsibility Report 2025 has been published
Towards a more responsible future
For us, responsibility is not a single act but a whole that is visible in every decision, from design to the finished product. We want to build a children's clothing brand that combines quality, timelessness, and responsible choices.
In this blog post, we highlight the key points from our responsibility review.

Timeless design and long lifespan
At the core of Gugguu's operations is timelessness. Our collections are largely based on basic models that remain in the selection season after season. Instead of constantly creating new items, we develop existing products with new colors and details.
This not only makes it easier for customers to choose but above all extends the product's lifespan. Our clothes are designed to withstand everyday use, washing, and multiple users, and a long lifespan is one of the most responsible choices.
High-quality materials and safety
We choose materials carefully. All materials we use are certified or otherwise responsible, and they meet strict safety and chemical requirements.
For example, we use:
- GOTS-certified organic cotton
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified materials
- PFC-free outerwear materials
With material choices, we ensure that products are safe for children and durable for long-term use.

Responsible production and partnerships
We collaborate with carefully selected, long-term production partners. By concentrating production in fewer factories, we can ensure quality, transparency, and continuous development.
Most of our production takes place in Europe, and we regularly visit factories to ensure:
- safe working conditions
- quality manufacturing
- responsible practices
In the production chain, we also utilize third-party audits and certifications to ensure responsibility.
Circular economy and long lifespan
We want to extend the lifespan of our products as much as possible. This is supported by:
- second hand collaborations (e.g., Ninyes, Emmy, Tise)
- resale of repaired products
- product design for multiple users
In addition, we direct surplus materials to reuse and charity, which reduces waste and supports responsible consumption.
Transparency and continuous development
Our sustainability work is based on transparency and continuous development. We monitor our operations, collect customer feedback, and develop collections and processes based on it.
Our goal is to make responsible choices as easy as possible for customers and at the same time develop our operations step by step in a better direction.
Year 2026 – a new step in production
During 2026, we will take a new step in our sustainability work and move part of our underwear production to India.
This decision was not made quickly but is based on a long and careful process. We have spent a lot of time searching for a partner who shares our values and meets our high responsibility requirements. We visited several factories, held discussions, and carefully evaluated the operators before making the decision.
In the end, we found a factory with which the collaboration felt right. The factory meets the important standards and certifications for us:
- GOTS
- OEKO-TEX®
- SEDEX audit
These ensure that production meets strict requirements regarding the environment, chemical safety, and working conditions.
We have also visited the factory in person. During the visit, we got to learn about the production, working conditions, and the people behind the production. We saw concretely how responsibility is implemented in everyday life, and this strengthened our trust in the collaboration.
We want to be open about this change and share more behind the scenes with you. We will tell more about our factory visit on our Instagram account, where we have gathered content in the highlight SUSTAINABILITY.
This change is an important step for us and part of our ongoing journey towards a more responsible future.
